Satellite Imagery Reveals Tesla’s Significant Issue with Unsold Vehicles

Tesla Struggles with Unsold Inventory

Recent reports have highlighted the issue of unsold Teslas accumulating in Austin, Texas, raising concerns about the electric vehicle company’s sales performance. Satellite imagery comparison from October 2023 to March 2024 revealed a noticeable increase in unsold Tesla inventory, in line with the first-quarter earnings report indicating overproduction relative to sales.

Unsold Teslas Waiting to Be Shipped

Images obtained from SkyFi show that the unsold Teslas are predominantly parked in lots, awaiting transportation to customers. Notably, around 500 Teslas were observed at the Chesterfield Mall in St. Louis in May 2024. This situation has emerged as shareholders prepare to vote on Elon Musk’s substantial $50 billion pay package, sparking concerns about his ties to the board members overseeing his compensation and potential relocation of Tesla.

Elon Musk’s recent tweet suggesting priority for longtime Tesla shareholders in the event of his other companies going public has fueled speculation about future plans, whether related to an IPO or aimed at garnering support ahead of crucial decisions. As Tesla navigates challenges and Musk solidifies his control, shareholder backing remains vital for the company’s trajectory.
