Disney didn’t actually buy Jeffrey Epstein’s island, despite what you may have seen online!

Social media accounts have been circulating a claim in recent weeks that Disney has purchased Jeffrey Epstein’s island. However, this claim is simply not true, despite gaining attention on various sites and social media platforms.

The original TikTok video that sparked this rumor comes from an account called Mouse Trap News, which falsely quotes Disney as stating they will turn Epstein’s island into a stop for their cruises. The video claims that Disney bought the island for 3 billion dollars and even suggests building a theme park there.

Although some consider Mouse Trap News to be satire, many people online have taken their videos seriously, spreading false information in the hopes of going viral. The belief that Disney is acquiring Epstein’s island has particularly caught the attention of those who are more gullible online.

This is not the first time a fake news story about Disney and Epstein has gained traction on social media. In the past, there were claims that Disney cruise lines would make a stop at Epstein’s island, known as Little St. James.

Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was found dead in a New York jail cell in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking. His death sparked numerous conspiracy theories that lack substantial evidence. Despite his connections to powerful individuals, the circumstances of Epstein’s death remain a subject of debate.

In the age of social media, it is easy for false information to spread quickly, especially when attached to a controversial figure like Epstein. As such, it is essential to fact-check and verify sources before sharing or believing such claims.
