Ukrainian Hackers Nearly Destroy Russian Internet Provider
A regional Russian Internet provider, Nodex, was almost completely destroyed in an attack by Ukrainian hackers. The hackers, part of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance, looted and erased Nodex’s network, leaving them offline until Wednesday night. The attack comes as Russia considers disconnecting its citizens from the global web to control information flow during its war with Ukraine. If Russia proceeds with disconnecting its ISPs, attacks by Ukrainian groups may not be effective in the long run.
