Latin America is all over the place in the latest peace ranking: Some up, some down
The latest Global Peace Index 2025 just dropped some truth bombs: global peace is on the decline, folks. Sure, some countries are making strides towards peace, but others? Man, they’re diving headfirst into chaos and violence. And don’t even get me started on the economic toll of all this madness – a whopping $19.97 trillion in 2024 alone! In Latin America, it’s a mixed bag – only four countries are shining examples of peace, while places like Haiti and Colombia are caught up in internal conflicts. It’s a real head-scratcher, but one thing’s for sure: we gotta work harder to keep the peace in a world that’s losing its cool real fast.
