Google Wallet enables conversion of any item into a digital pass

Google is expanding the capabilities of its Wallet in Android 15, allowing users to add a variety of items such as tickets, keys, boarding passes, and identification cards. Earlier this year, Google announced the introduction of “Everything else”, a feature powered by AI.

The convenience of having all your essential items stored in a single app, from concert tickets to student IDs and digital keys, cannot be overstated. Google’s AI technology now enables users to easily add scanned items to their Wallet, organizing and cataloging them for quick access.

Instructions for working with Google Wallet include options to add, move, or remove items within the app. Users can add items from converted files, Gmail, or photos by simply taking a clear picture and providing a name and description. The process may vary slightly depending on the platform being used.

Google’s updates are typically rolled out gradually, with no specific timeline for individual users to receive new features. The revamped version of Google Wallet will be available to more users in the coming weeks.
