iPhone 16: The Big Apple Launch That’s Not Living Up to Expectations
So, the latest iPhone Pro from Apple, the most advanced one, includes extra buttons and the ability for spatial photos and videos, but the demand hasn’t been strong. Ming-Chi Kuo, from KGI Securities, spilled the beans that orders for the end of this year have dropped from 84 to 80 million. The production of the iPhone 16 will also decrease in 2025. Even though this represents a significant amount, it’s not good news for Apple, which has been seeing its sales drop for over a year. Kuo suggests that the production decrease might not be reflected in the fourth quarter due to the difference between production and sales.
### Possible flop?
There are no expected production cuts for the [iPhone 15](link), which comes with better features. Despite Apple’s promises of Apple Intelligence, sales of the iPhone 15 Pro have been lackluster. Kuo doubts that the new AI features will boost sales, as users will have to wait until October 28th to access the first features.
Apple has also cut production of its $3,500 Vision Pro, limiting the quantity to between 500,000 and 600,000 headphones. This could meet the demand, and the company might decrease production in November.
iPhone sales could get a boost from [the next model](link), which will include support for Apple Intelligence and could be launched early next year. Additionally, Apple plans to introduce more products with AI capabilities by the end of October or early November.
