Autopsy confirms death of 14-year-old boy from Spicy Chip challenge
When 14-year-old Harris Wolobah from Massachusetts died, his family suspected it could be related to a viral spicy chip he had eaten. An autopsy report confirmed this suspicion. The high school student tried a Paqui brand chip called the “One Chip Challenge,” dusted with Carolina Reaper and Naga Viper peppers, and later died from cardiopulmonary arrest. The chips had gained popularity on social media, but after several incidents including a TV anchor vomiting on air, Paqui stopped selling them.
