The Zizians: a secret crew takin’ on artificial intelligence and maybe tied to a bunch of murders
So, on the fringes of alternative movements, there’s this wild cult that’s been causing chaos. Started by a disgruntled ex-engineer, this group has been attracting some super smart but totally anti-capitalism young folks. What started as just a bunch of people with similar ideas quickly turned violent, with authorities now only starting to piece together the whole mess.
### The Murder Scene
In January 2025, in Vallejo, California, 82-year-old Curtis Lind was tragically killed by Maximilian Snyder, a data scientist from Oxford and supposedly part of the extremist group called the Zizianos.
But this wasn’t a one-off incident. Just a few days later, in Vermont, Border Patrol Agent David Maland was shot dead under suspicious circumstances, also linked back to this same radical group.
### The Attack that Sparked It All
It all started back in November 2022 when Suri Dao, Emma Borhanian, and Somni Leatham brutally attacked Lind. They claimed it was due to a water leak, but ended up stabbing him with a katana. Lind fought back, killing Borhanian and injuring Leatham, only to find out they were hoarding some pretty shady stuff: 3D printers, computers, ultrasound gear, and a ton of caustic soda. Turns out, the violence erupted when Lind tried to kick them out for not paying rent.
### The Big Conspiracy
Fast forward to January 20, 2025, and Agent David Maland’s tragic death near the Canadian border trying to catch Teresa Youngblut and Ophelia Bauckholt, both suspected of carrying weapons. After a shootout, Bauckholt was killed, and Maland sustained fatal injuries. The weapon used was registered to Michelle Zajko, a NASA intern turned Zizianos follower, confirming the FBI’s suspicions of a coordinated network at a national level.
With Agent Maland’s death, the investigations ramped up, with state and federal agencies working together to unravel the Ziziano movement.
Recruitment of Zizianos Members
Former associates like Galen Metzger revealed that members were lured in with speeches targeting disillusioned bright minds. Metzger’s friend Suri Dao, once a star student, became completely isolated after joining the group.
Current Status of Zizianos Members
Currently, Dao, Leatham, and Snyder are awaiting trial in the San Francisco Bay Area, while LaSota is under investigation as the possible mastermind behind at least six deaths linked to this extremist group.
